Delhi to Panna — The Perfect Escape

Home Weekend Getaway from Delhi

Why Delhi Travellers Choose Panna

Just 650 km Away

Drive via NH-44 in 10–12 hours, or fly to Khajuraho Airport in just 1.5 hours. Closer than you think — and worth every kilometre.

A Completely Different World

Swap Delhi's traffic and noise for ancient forests, tigers in the wild, silence on the Ken River, and a sky brilliant with stars. The contrast is total.

Combine with Khajuraho

The UNESCO World Heritage temples at Khajuraho are just 40 km from the resort. Add a cultural layer to your wildlife weekend at no extra travel cost.

Sample 3-Day Itinerary

Fri

Friday Evening — Depart Delhi

Leave Delhi after work. Drive via NH-44 → Agra → Jhansi → Orchha → Chhatarpur → Panna → Madla (650 km / 10–12 hrs). Alternatively, catch an evening flight to Khajuraho Airport (1.5 hrs), then drive 40 km to the resort. Arrive late night or choose to break the journey in Jhansi and arrive early Saturday morning.

Sat

Saturday — Full Day at Panna

Morning: Early wake-up for a jeep safari into Panna Tiger Reserve through Madla Gate (just 0.8 km away). Spot Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and hundreds of bird species. Breakfast back at the resort. Afternoon: Choose between a Ken River boat ride or a drive to Pandav Falls. Evening: Bonfire at the resort, dinner under the stars. Sleep in the forest quiet.

Sun

Sunday — Morning & Return

Optional: Second morning safari (highly recommended — each safari is different). Breakfast. Leisurely nature walk on the resort grounds. Check out by noon. Drive back to Delhi (10–12 hrs, reaching by midnight) or head to Khajuraho for an afternoon flight home.

How to Reach from Delhi

By Car

Take NH-44 south from Delhi towards Agra, then continue via Jhansi → Orchha → Chhatarpur → Panna → Madla. The drive is approximately 650 km / 10–12 hours. Roads are well maintained and clearly signed throughout.

Tip: Leave Friday evening after office hours to beat Delhi traffic. Break the journey in Jhansi (5 hrs from Delhi) for a rest stop or overnight halt.

By Air

Fly Delhi → Khajuraho on IndiGo or Air India (approximately 1.5 hours). On arrival at Khajuraho Airport (HJR), rent a car or take a pre-arranged taxi for the 40 km / 1-hour drive to Nature's Lap Resort in Madla.

We arrange Khajuraho Airport pickup — WhatsApp us your flight details and we'll have a vehicle ready on arrival.

See our complete How to Reach guide → for routes from other cities, rail options, and pickup arrangements.
